It's done, finally!

This piece is one of my personal favorites. I love how everything turned out, the colors and the balance, and I have fallen in love quite a bit with this bug prince, I almost did not want to let him go!

It took pretty long to finish because I had to do things in between, but I managed. I barely caught up with the contest deadline though.

You can see that I taped another piece of paper to make room for his wings, haha. I miscalculated the space as usual! I'm so bad at predicting how big or small my drawing is supposed to be.

Ugh I really love him I almost gave up on the contest so I could just keep him for myself.

 

My messy, messy workplace a.k.a bedroom floor. I really need to stop spreading out while working-- I can't work in just a small space (like, using half of a dinner table or something), I always end up using all open space possible to sprawl and stuff haha.

Also, I did say I almost didn't want to let him go, right?

So I printed two.

I said I barely made it, I really did. I submitted it on Saturday and it's supposed to arrive at Fashionpro's office on Monday (10/31), which is the last submission day! I hope it would get there on time.

Honestly, I feel pretty confident with this piece. I hope this would catch the judges's eyes, at the very least, because I know it's not so ~fashionable and I didn't use fancy texturing... Personally I wanted it to look gorgeous without being over the top, and I don't want the details to be lost so I tried to make it simple.

All in all, please wish me all the best of lucks! I'm being repetitive but I want this baby to at least got attention from ~*fashion world*~ out there.

Right after finishing this one, I also worked on another drawing for Dimgras's e-zine project, more on it later. :)
